

John Rogers was born in Leek Staffordshire in 1951, and developed a love for music at an early age on piano. He learnt to play the guitar from early teens and has continued to play a wide variety of music from all styles including classical, contemporary, rock & blues and Spanish styles. Inspirations come from guitarists Manitas de Plata, Segovia, Paco Pena, Narciso Yepes, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and many more.
John has made several appearances on TV including with Suzie Quatro and Nina Myskow and his stage appearances include Andy Ross Big Band, Chris Barber Jazz Band, and The Black Abbots comedy showband and Don McClean (Comedian), .
Currently he runs the John Rogers Guitar School, and is in demand for solo Virtuoso Performances on Classical Guitar, as well as playing rock rhythm & blues on electric guitar .
Many other engagements have included Corporate functions, for such as Forte Hotels, or Stenna Sealink Annual Dinners, for example. At these type of venues, music ranges from Classical Guitar through to R&B material. John has also played at functions attended by Royalty. Around the world gigs include Tenerife, Sardinia, South Africa, Sweden & Portugal.
Local venues include Bodidris Hall Hotel Llandegla, The Wine Vaults Ruthin and gigs with STONE BLUE, featuring Paul Mitchell on drums/vocals/acoustic guitar and John on guitars /keyboards/vocals, play classic rock, blues and funky music. Most recently performed at outdoor rock festival in Leek, Staffordshire, Kicking into action the 30th. Leek Arts Festival.
